God's Gift to You this Christmas!

The Gifts of Christmas

We have so much to celebrate this Christmas season! This holiday is not just about presents, sweet treats, and time with our families; it is about our Savior coming to Earth as the true sign of God’s salvation and love for His people. By choosing to enter our broken world as a tiny baby, Jesus became Immanuel"God with us"the embodiment of all God’s promises. He came to give us eternal hope and the greatest gift of allSALVATION.

Jesus is our promised Savior! 700 years before the birth of Jesus, the Prophet Isaiah foretold His coming, “For to us a Child is born, to us a Son is given; and the government shall be upon His shoulder, and His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” (Isaiah 9:6, ESV)

"...His name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” - Isaiah 9:6B (ESV)

Often amid the joy of the holiday season, we also experience feelings of stress, grief, or anxiety. We remember lost loved ones or face a first holiday feeling alone. How do you need Jesus to show up in your life today? Because He is Immanuel, you are never alone! Or maybe you need the counsel of a wise friend, the majesty of a Mighty God, the love of a Father, or peace that passes all understanding. Our precious Savior is all of those things, in Him we find more than enough to meet our every need.

The gifts our hearts long for are all wrapped up in a Savior named Jesus.

Which gift do you need most this season?

Wonderful Counselor:

“It is because of Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption.” - 1 Corinthians 1:30 (NIV)

Jesus came to be our redemption and our relationship with Him gives us the wisdom we need to navigate this life. Prayer is a two-way conversation because our God loves to talk to us. When you have questions, He has all the answers.

Mighty God:

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise Him.” - Psalm 28:7 (NIV)

The Hebrew translation for the word “mighty” is “warrior.” Our God is a God who fights for us; He is our protection and our strength. When you need His provision and safety, you can run into His arms and receive the strength that only the greatest of Warriors can give us.

"Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might." - Ephesians 6:10 (ESV)

Everlasting Father:

“But from eternity to eternity the Lord’s faithful love is toward those who fear Him, and His righteousness toward the grandchildren of those who keep His covenant, who remember to observe His precepts.” - Psalm 103:17-18 (HCSB)

The Hebrew translation for "Everlasting Father" used in Isaiah 9:6 is “The Father of Eternity.” Just as a good father cares for his children his whole life, even more so Jesus came to care for us for all eternity. There is no beginning or ending to His love for us. If you are looking for the unconditional and never-ending love of a Father, He is waiting for you with open arms.

"...The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding." - Isaiah 40:28 (NLT)

Prince of Peace:

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.” (Isaiah 26:3, NKJV)

If you are looking for the calm during this busy season and are longing for peace, remember that Jesus is the Prince of Peace. Jesus came to not only give us peace, but to be the most divine representation of peace in our lives. We get to rest in supernatural PEACE because He is in control.

"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." - Philippians 4:7 (ESV)

Whatever you need most this season, our Savior is already here! He paid the ultimate price for our freedom and our eternal hope. We get to rest in the arms of the One who holds the future.

We wish you the merriest of Christmas seasons and pray you receive all the gifts the Lord has for you! 💜
