7 Resources to Answer Your Questions about the Bible

Donna Pisani, Kristi McLelland, and Faith Eury Cho on the Better Together Set

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Written thousands of years ago, as the Holy Spirit inspired 40 authors, the physical Book we hold in our hands today is a miracle. Though scholars have studied its pages for centuries, you don’t have to be a theologian or historian to understand this beautiful love letter. We study the Bible because it is the foundation of ALL that we need. Psalm 119:105 tells us, “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” This Scripture was not just for those living thousands of years ago. It holds TRUTH for us today. Every step, every situation, every day—God's Word will guide us, if we turn to it! Our Heavenly Father inspired each word for us! When we open this precious text, words of wisdom, guidance, purpose, and hope leap off the pages!

“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness…” — 2 Timothy 3:16 (ESV)

We often receive questions about the Bible and how to begin in studying God's Word. The most common questions are—How do we know that the written Bible we have today can be trusted? Are the original manuscripts reliable? Why are there so many English translations? Who are the people God used to write the Bible? Is the Bible still relevant today?
